Andrea and Iustin's fall wedding in Minneapolis at the Van Dusen Mansion, complete with an outdoor ceremony, was pure perfection. From the weather to the light to the fall colors to the couple to my team, I adored every minute of their day!
Andrea and I go all the way back to her senior portraits! Around the same time, her sister Emily (my college roommate) and brother-in-law Dan got married and I was grateful to be their photographer, oh, 10 years ago. (That was the summer that all three of my college roommates got married. I was in one, photographed one, and attended one - big summer!) . Needless to say all these years later, it was the ultimate honor to be asked to photograph Andrea and Iustin's wedding last fall. (In a happy coincidence, another of my wonderful college roommates Jenny was my rock star assistant all year, helping out in so many ways and oh-so-fun to spend the day with.) Another lucky thing about multiple weddings or portrait sessions within one family is that I get to see the rest of the family again too!
Andrea and Iustin are totally meant for each other! They have so much in common! Their love for games, books, anime, and each other shone brightly throughout their wedding day. Check out their cake stand and topper, for example. Andrea illustrated the table number cards - incredible! Iustin's mom made all jewelry and hair piece Andrea is wearing. Andrea's other sister Trisha did her makeup. With lovely personal touches and team effort, this day was a huge, beautiful success. The support and love family and friends have for these two was so clear and strong - there wasn't a dry eye in the garden during their ceremony, officiated by Andrea's aunt.
I still can't get over these two awash in those warm fall colors and lovely light. Andrea and Iustin deserve nothing less than a perfectly magical day!
Who can get enough of these two lovebirds?! Here's their winter engagement session in Minneapolis at the Stone Arch Bridge and St. Anthony Main. It doesn't look much like February though!
